PRINCE2 Overview

Course Code : P209-OV

Description

This course is only available as a private event, i.e. for one customer.  Any number of delegates may attend a private event, although numbers should be limited to a reasonable amount in order to allow the trainer to attend to the individual needs of each delegate.

The PRINCE2 accredited courses have between 6 and 15 hours of pre-course preparation and this Overview course can be used in place of this.  It is not necessary to then book all attendees of this course to a single accredited course.  It may be more cost effective, of course, to book a private event for the accredited course, but other considerations may preclude all attendees from being out of the office for the longer period of time.

Alternatively, a derivation of this course can be used by senior managers to gain an understanding of the method sufficient to allow their project managers to use PRINCE2.  For this purpose, the course can be run over half a day to ensure that the senior managers are using their time most effectively.

Where the requirement is to attain an understanding of all the Best Practice Guides, their various accreditations and how the guides all work in collaboration, a better alternative may be to book the Best Practice Overview course.
